Amazing Fitness Resource for Beginners
It’s a new year, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve made a few New Year’s Resolutions, or better, some New Year’s goals. If you’re anything like the millions of other people in the world, those goals and resolutions involved your health. Maybe you’re trying to get your nutrition in order. Perhaps you have a little weight you’d like to lose. Or maybe you’d like to be stronger, more flexible, or simply healthier overall. I totally get it. Unfortunately, it’s really hard to get healthy when you aren’t sure what you should do or focus on. What you need is a fitness resource that helps you cut through all the confusing and conflicting information that’s out there.
A few years ago, I was so frustrated trying to figure out how to get healthier.
There is so much information out there and it’s all so confusing when you’re starting out. Should I be counting calories or fasting? Is aerobic activity or strength training better? How do I stay motivated to eat healthy and work-out?
I was stumbling over all of these same questions, and so many more, when I stumbled upon a site that took a completely unique and engaging approach to fitness. Not only that, but it made eating well and getting fit seem so simple. The site is NerdFitness.com

The Nerd Fitness site takes such a fun approach to fitness. Crafted by founder Steve Kamb, Nerd Fitness has become more than just a fitness website. It’s a culture, which they lovingly refer to as “the Rebellion.” It combines nerdiness and whimsy with simple knowledge about exercise and diet. The site has helped so many people since it’s inception in 2008.
I’ve learned so much about lifting, which I never thought I’d even be interested in! And the profiles of members that get sent out are so inspiring. Steve’s writing style is straight-forward, humorous, and real. His heartfelt approach, as well as the others that write for NerdFitness, really makes you realize they believe in their mission. They are out to help others get healthy by helping to remove all obstacles in their way.
Nerd Fitness contains tons of useful free information but if you need a little additional guidance and motivation, there is also a paid course you can take. The Nerd Fitness academy isn’t something I’ve tried, so I can’t comment on that. But the site overall has a wealth of awesome information. There is also a Nerd Fitness camp where you can actually meet up with others and participate in a week of learning, fun, and fitness.
